Hope Transforms: A Success Story

Ben's* family faced a difficult situation after his parents separated. His mother, a single parent struggling to care for four children, sought refuge in her mother's overcrowded home. The family faced significant financial challenges and struggled to meet their basic needs.

Missions of Hope International social workers discovered Ben during a community outreach and enrolled him in school. Since he was also ailing, they provided financial support for his medical needs. This intervention brought much-needed relief to the family.

Ben's mother found solace and support through the church community. She joined a growth empowerment group and is working to improve her family's situation through a small business.

With the help of MOHI and Eastside Christian Church, Ben's family received essential support, including food, bedding, a bunk bed, and utensils. This assistance has provided them with a sense of stability and hope for the future they need.

Ben's mother's resilience and determination, combined with the support of MOHI, have transformed their lives. They are now facing the future with renewed hope and optimism. Her newfound support system in the church and in her empowerment group has given her hope for the future. She is able to take care of her children and has enough left over to save. In the near future, Ben’s mother wants to go back to school and study.

We thank God that hope has been restored in her heart and in her household.
