Greetings from Kosovo!

Praise God! We are thrilled and deeply thankful for His abundant grace, provision, and faithfulness bestowed upon our community, parents, and students at Kosovo. We would like to share with you some of the highlights of the first term of the year. Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we transform the community in Kosovo through the love of Jesus.

Flood Update:

Since this Community Update was written before the extreme rain and flooding took place in Kenya, we want to provide a quick update.

Although we recently experienced heavy rains and flooding, we are thankful to report that our center was not damaged. Unfortunately, however, several of our students and their families were directly affected by the flooding. We are connecting with them to provide support.

If you'd like to donate to MOHI's flood relief efforts, you can donate here.

Hope Transforms: A Success Story

The transformational journey of Naomi* and her children, who are students at our Kosovo Center is a testament to the power of resilience and community support.

Naomi faced immense challenges after the loss of her husband and youngest child to illness. Struggling with depression and financial hardship, she was identified during community visits by our social worker. Urgent intervention, including counseling and medical care, was initiated to support her through this difficult period.

Despite initial reluctance, Naomi eventually embraced counseling and medication, leading to significant improvements in her mental and physical health. With the support of our church community and outreach programs, she found solace and strength in God overcoming her grief and rebuilding her life.

Facing financial strain, Naomi received assistance from MOHI to keep her children in school and ensure the family had food security through MOHI’s feeding program. With continued support and encouragement, she regained her sense of purpose and resilience.

In 2021, a visiting volunteer from a local university was moved by Naomi's story and helped her start a business. Today, Naomi runs a successful grocery stall and is grateful for the transformational support she received from MOHI and MOHI’s partners.
