A Story of Hope
Joram is a senior school student from Turkana County who has been part of the MOHI community since childhood. He was raised in a family where resources were limited, and the challenges at home sometimes made it difficult for him to attend school consistently.
When Joram missed classes, he began to lose confidence and compare himself to students who were able to attend more regularly. His social worker, school chaplain, and other staff members began offering emotional and spiritual support. Through guidance, counseling, and encouragement, Joram started to regain confidence and focus.
The school also helped provide practical support so his family could navigate difficult seasons with greater stability. Over time, Joram began attending school more consistently, participating in devotions, and growing in his understanding of God.
Today, Joram is more focused on his studies and is taking greater responsibility at home. After senior school, he hopes to attend a university. We are grateful for the growth God is nurturing in his life and pray that he will keep moving forward with hope.
A different name has been used to honor privacy.
