School Highlights

  • We convened our Annual General Meeting, where new parent representatives were elected. This helps strengthen parent involvement in the life and development of the school.
  • We held a Board of Management meeting with parent representatives and school leadership. Together, we reviewed academic performance, discussed key operational needs, and considered ways to support continued improvement.
  • Our students participated in drama and music festivals, where they demonstrated talent, creativity, and confidence. We are proud of the students who advanced to the next level.
  • MOHI Education Officers visited the center to provide academic supervision and professional guidance that will strengthen curriculum implementation and overall school performance.
  • Local government Public Health Officers also visited the center, carried out inspections, and shared recommendations to support health and safety standards.

Together in Ministry

  • We hosted three MOHI Vision Teams this term. They toured the school and participated in community visits, helping strengthen the partnership and deepen the understanding of the ministry.
  • We welcomed a team from Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton, California. The team supported home improvement efforts, built pit latrines, provided essential household items for some families, and conducted home visits. Their medical team also carried out health screenings for 450 students and met with parents of children facing severe malnutrition to offer guidance on health, hygiene, and living conditions.
  • The MAF Dutch Business Club paid a courtesy visit, toured the school, and engaged with members of the community. Their visit helped broaden the school’s network of relationships.

A Story of Hope

Susan is a mother who has carried many responsibilities for her family through difficult seasons in Turkana County. Like many parents in the community, she wanted her children to have opportunities to learn and grow, even when daily needs were difficult to meet.

For a long time, her family depended on inconsistent work, and the responsibility of caring for her children became especially heavy. Even in those circumstances, Susan remained committed to doing what she could to support them and hoped for a more stable future.

During a community outreach visit, Susan connected with MOHI staff and learned more about the support available through the Napuu school community. Her children were later enrolled at Napuu Center, where they began receiving support through education, meals, health care, mentorship, and spiritual encouragement.

Susan also became involved with MOHI Capital Limited, a financial services initiative under MOHI that provides microloans to help families within the communities we serve. Through a savings group and business training, she started a small shop that has helped her provide more consistently for her family.

Along the way, Susan also grew in faith. She gave her life to Christ and joined a local church, where she continues to receive encouragement and discipleship while serving others.

Today, Susan and her children are continuing to move forward. Her business is helping meet basic household needs, and her children are growing in a school community where they are supported each day. We thank God for the steady growth taking shape in her family.
