Hope Transforms: A Success Story

Maua* currently serves as a security officer at the Missions of Hope Shambini Center. Before joining MOHI, he lived in his village doing casual labor and struggling to make ends meet. Though he had once accepted Christ, he faced rejection from family and relatives because of his faith, which eventually led him to fall away.

Everything changed when MOHI began operations in Shambini. Maua attended one of the services at Shambini, where he recommitted his life to Christ. Later, he was given an opportunity to work at the school. Since then, he has gone past most of the challenges he faced. While he still deals with some difficulties at home, Maua says he now finds joy in life, has renewed focus, and fully trusts that God is working things out for the better.

With his job at MOHI, Maua is able to provide for his siblings, as their parents are separated and he has taken on the role of the family breadwinner. He is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve in a Christian organization, where his spiritual life continues to grow stronger day by day. Maua is determined to keep praying, seeking God's guidance, and remaining faithful through life’s challenges. He is thankful to God and to MOHI for being a part of his transformation.
