Hope Transforms: A Success Story
Grace* is a bright and resilient 6-year-old girl currently in first grade at our school. Just two years ago, her life looked very different. When she first joined our program in kindergarten, Grace was struggling with her health, a challenging home environment, and no access to consistent education. But thanks to the love and support she has received through Missions of Hope International (MOHI), Grace’s life has taken a remarkable turn.
When Grace first enrolled, her family was spiritually disconnected. Her mother was very ill and bedridden, making it hard to engage in church or any spiritual growth. Today, Grace is actively involved in spiritual matters. She attends church regularly and even prays at home with her mom, who has also found renewed hope and strength in her faith. This spiritual revival has brought a sense of peace and purpose into their home.
Grace was malnourished when she came to us, and her mother’s declining health made things even more difficult. Through MOHI’s school feeding program and medical support, Grace is now healthy, energized, and thriving. Her mom has also received much-needed medical care and is slowly regaining strength. This has been life-changing for both of them.
Grace’s mother struggled to make ends meet through casual labor. This work became nearly impossible due to her illness. The family relied on the kindness of a community member for shelter and often lacked basic necessities. MOHI stepped in, offering food, housing support, and connecting the family to local donors who could help. While challenges remain, the family now has a more stable foundation and hope for a better financial future.
MOHI has come in to change Grace’s educational prospects. She is not only excelling academically but also loves school. She participates in activities, enjoys learning, and radiates joy every day. The consistent nutrition and support have given her the tools she needs to focus, grow, and dream big. We are so thankful to walk alongside her and her family on this incredible journey.
