Hope Transforms: A Success Story

Samuel’s* family has faced significant financial challenges in recent years. His father's illness and the family's inability to afford medical care put a significant strain on the family's finances. His mother, the sole provider for four children, struggled to meet their basic needs, including rent and food. The family's difficult situation forced Samuel to drop out of school to support his family by selling vegetables.

Samuel talked to a MOHI social worker, he expressed his concerns about his family's future. He felt helpless in the situation, they talked about the opportunity to join a school at MOHI and Samuel was thrilled. As Samuel was in high school he was enrolled in Grade 10 at our Ndovoini Center. His younger brother was enrolled at our Mabatini Center as he was still in primary school. Samuel's two other brothers were encouraged to join our MTTI to gain a skill that they could use to make a living and support themselves and their family.

Samuel is now preparing for his final high school exams and has big aspirations for the future. His mother is grateful for the support and hopes for a brighter future for her family. Soon he will also be able to contribute to the family's income.

We thank God for this family, and for giving us a chance to share the hope of Christ with them.
