Hope Transforms: A Success Story
John* is a bright and devoted student in our center. He is 16 years old and the second-born in a family of six. His parents have nurtured him with strong Christian values, discipline and humility. His family regularly attends MOHI’s church plant, the Outreach Hope Church, where their faith has continued to grow.
Growing up, John learned the importance of prayer, hard work, and perseverance. His parents have always encouraged him to trust in God and remain focused on his education. Despite the challenges that come with rural life, his determination to excel both spiritually and academically has made him stand out among his peers.
Currently, John is in Grade 7, and he leads prayers in the school’s Christian Union. His passion for prayer began when he was still in lower primary school. He would be seen praying with friends before classes or during breaks. Over time, his teachers and schoolmates recognized his commitment, leading to his appointment as the prayer leader, a role he carries out with deep humility and responsibility.
In his leadership, John helps organize morning devotions, lead intercessions during meetings, and often shares words of encouragement drawn from scriptures. His presence during these gatherings reflects a deep love for God and a desire to see others grow spiritually. His peers admire his discipline and spiritual maturity, and some have even testified that John’s prayers and encouragement have strengthened their own faith. His leadership has shown that age is never a barrier when one chooses to serve God.
During one meeting, John shared a simple but powerful statement that left many inspired. He said softly, “When we pray, we invite God to do what we cannot. I just want others to know that prayer changes everything.” These words have since become a reminder to his peers that faith, when practiced sincerely, brings transformation and hope even in difficult times.
Outside of school, John actively participates in church programs. He often joins the youth during community fellowships, helping in leading songs, prayers, and reading the Bible. His dedication to both church and school activities reflects his deep understanding of serving God in all areas of life. Through these opportunities, he continues to grow in confidence and spiritual wisdom.
John’s story is a powerful example of transformation through faith and prayer. He has shown that God can use anyone, regardless of age or circumstance, to make a lasting impact. His life continues to inspire others to trust in God, stay humble, and let their light shine wherever they are.

Term Highlights
- Our 66 kindergarten students graduated after the completion of their two years of preschool. They will be advancing to Grade 1 next year.
- The Mentorship Program is continuing to make a remarkable impact in the lives of our students. Many have been transformed emotionally, spiritually, physically and socially through the guidance and care they receive.
- We held special prayers over our Grade 6 students who were the first group from our center to sit for the national tests. We trust God for their success.
Church Highlights
- This term, our church building was officially dedicated. We now have a permanent place of worship, marking an important milestone for our community.
- Our Sunday service attendance has grown to over 120 participants, reflecting a growing commitment to fellowship, worship, and leadership.
- Home fellowships met weekly in at least two households, with 10–15 participants attending each meeting. Door-to-door evangelism was strengthened through follow-up visits, resulting in several families joining the church. Plans are in progress to expand home fellowships to more locations and introduce structured discipleship programs for new believers.
- From our school and youth ministry, 16 students were commissioned as Christian Union (a fellowship of Christian students within educational institutions dedicated to spiritual growth and faith strengthening) and prayer leaders, supporting peer discipleship and leading prayer groups among their classmates.
Partner Connections
- We were blessed to have the Rocky Mountain Christian Church (Niwot, CO) team visit us this term. They conducted VBS that engaged our 485 students, who enjoyed all the activities they got engaged in. The team also partnered with us in the building of a church hall in our school, a remarkable act of service that will have a lasting impact on the community. They also reached out in love by distributing 24 food baskets to families in need.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for good health and protection of our students, staff, and parents.
- Pray for God’s grace and provision for our parents, that He may meet their needs and enable them to continue supporting their children’s education.
- Pray for God’s continued provision of our center as we serve the community.
- Pray for the sponsorship of our unsponsored students.
