Hope Transforms: A Success Story
When Jeff* enrolled his two children in the Missions of Hope International (MOHI) program, life was full of challenges. With no steady source of income, Jeff often wondered how he would provide for his family, from buying food, paying rent or even ensuring that his children remained in school. His wife took casual jobs in order to help with the finances, but what she earned was barely enough to cover even the basics. The uncertainty weighed heavily on him, and worry was written all over the father’s eyes.
Despite these challenges, Jeff was determined to see his children succeed. He encouraged them to attend school diligently and supported them in every way possible. His commitment to his family did not go unnoticed. As he interacted more with the program, Jeff’s willingness to help and his positive attitude caught the attention of staff members.
When an opportunity arose within the organization, he was considered for a cook position at Ndovoini Boys' School. That marked a turning point for his entire family.
Getting employed at Ndovoini School not only restored Jeff’s dignity but also transformed his outlook on life. With a steady income, he could now provide for his family’s needs and still support his children’s education. The burden of uncertainty was replaced with hope.
The ripple effect of this transformation has extended beyond Jeff’s family. His children are now thriving in school, one in Grade 2 and the other in Grade 5. The stability at home has created a nurturing environment for growth. We are happy to witness the transformation that is taking place. His story is a testimony of how holistic ministry brings change not only to children but also to their families and communities.

Term Highlights
- Our students participated in an inter-class talent show. They showcased a variety of talents, including dances, poetry, drama, modeling, and spoken word, leaving everyone inspired and entertained. We thank God for the creativity and confidence displayed by our students.
- We held a successful joint prayer service for our Grade 6 and 9 students as they prepared for their national tests. It was a special time of encouragement and blessing for both students and staff.
- We held a successful meeting with our students' parents, during which we discussed the school's progress and future plans. This inclusivity helps our parents understand the school's vision for their community.
Church Highlights
- Our Synergy Sunday service (a service that brings together the community, staff, and students to worship and strengthen teamwork) brought together 157 people in unified worship.
- Our discipleship ministries continue to grow. We had 55 students in our discipleship class and 10 adults in the new believers’ class.
- We baptized 16 students who surrendered their lives to Christ during the Angaza Discovery Camp (MOHI’s two-week intensive discipleship camp at the Kenyan coast for all sixth graders).
Partner Connections
- We hosted the Africa Fire Mission (Cincinnati, OH) team, who conducted fire safety training for both the staff and all the students. It was really educational, and everyone learned new skills on how to handle fire in case of an outbreak.
- We welcomed the Christ’s Church of the Valley (Peoria, AZ) team at our church for a Synergy Sunday service (a service that brings together the community, staff, and students to worship and strengthen teamwork.) This service brings together our community, staff, and students to worship and strengthen our teamwork. It was a wonderful time in God’s presence, filled with worship, fellowship, and encouragement.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for God’s continued provision to our parents, sponsors and partners so that our students can continue receiving the support they need for their education.
- Pray for the protection and good health of our staff, students, and parents.
- Join us in thanking God for blessing us with a successful and fulfilling 2025 academic year.
