A Story of Hope

Samuel is a MOHI graduate who has been part of the Kiamaiko Ngei school community for many years. He grew up in a family that worked hard to meet daily needs and support the children’s education.

As a student, Samuel made steady academic progress and showed a desire to grow. Along the way, he went through a difficult season in which negative peer influence affected his behavior and relationships with classmates. When staff noticed the change, they walked alongside him with counseling, prayer, and guidance.

Samuel later participated in MOHI’s Mnara program, a program for MOHI graduates that helps students develop skills for life after school. Through continued mentorship from the school chaplain, he began making healthier choices, distanced himself from harmful influences, and gave his life to Christ.

Since then, Samuel has continued pursuing growth. He enrolled in an IT course through Cisco and began studying electronic engineering at the MOHI Technical Training Institute. During his free time, he volunteers in the school kitchen, joins staff for home visits, and helps mentor students.

Samuel’s story reflects growth that has taken shape over time through God’s work in his life, his own choices, and the steady encouragement of the school community. We thank God for the ways Samuel is now serving others and encouraging younger students to keep moving forward.
