On Thursday, May 20th, MOHI’s health team partnered with CURE Kenya to hold a medical camp at the Pangani center which ran from 9:30 am to 2 pm.

The medical camp served a total of 26 patients comprising children with orthopedic disabilities involving arm, spine, club foot, cerebral palsy, cleft lip and palate as well as contractures caused by burns. Of the patients served, two are to undergo surgery due to contractures involving limbs because of burns; 10 need a diagnostic X-ray before surgery while the rest were put on physiotherapy.

To offer holistic care, we had orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, spiritual leaders, and clinical nutritionists.
