Hope Transforms: A Success Story
Rajab* is a 5-year-old student in preschool at our school. He comes from a single-parent family with three siblings, and they live in Mitangoni. As a single mom, his mother supports the family through inconsistent casual jobs, doing her best to make ends meet.
When Rajab was first identified for enrollment, his mother was hesitant. She wasn’t convinced of the value of education and was reluctant to send him to school. However, after several visits and encouragement from a MOHI social worker, she agreed to give it a try.
Rajab’s mother is now excited to be a parent in MOHI for many reasons. Her son receives a strong foundation through academics, spiritual development, and regular meals through the MOHI feeding program. Although Rajab’s family is Muslim, he joyfully participates in school devotions and Bible activities. His mother is also grateful for the personal care and support from the MOHI team. She appreciates the home visits from our social worker and a pastor, who prays with her and shares the love of Christ.
Rajab’s mother appreciates the work MOHI is doing in her community and prays that God will continue to bless both the organization and its efforts there.
