Despite all of the temptations of living in the slums, sponsorship helped Abigael stay on the right path. She received access to nutritious meals and had all of her medical needs taken care of.
When she joined MOHI's boarding high school, Abigael was able to separate herself from the harsh environment she grew up in. When she finished high school, she joined Mnara, MOHI's gap year program, and found a passion for social work.
Now she gives back by working as a volunteer social worker at the MOHI school she attended.
Abigael's sponsor invested in her, and now she gets to invest in others.
