How we feed our students

All year round, our farms at Joska, Ndovoini and Napuu centers are tilled and cultivated to ensure our students benefit from nutritious meals.

About 48 bags of sukuma wiki (collard greens), spinach (green swiss chard) and a crate of tomatoes are harvested from the Joska and Ndovoini farms every week. These vegetables are then supplied to all MOHI centers.

We are also growing watermelons at the farm in Napuu. Located in a dry and arid part of Kenya, many residents in this area do not have food security due to the harsh climatic conditions. Our farm is paving the way in proving that with proper farm management, this area can also yield a bountiful harvest.
