Hope Transforms: A Success Story

Zawadi* is a Grade 2 student at Missions of Hope Shambini Center. When she first joined the school, she was extremely shy, withdrawn and hardly spoke or smiled at anyone. She struggled to interact with others and had no close friends except her brother.

In class, Zawadi struggled with reading and class activities. However, through close monitoring by her teacher and frequent guidance and counseling sessions, Zawadi began to make tremendous progress. Slowly, she started reading on her own. Today, she can read confidently, respond to questions in class, and actively participate in lessons. Her academic performance has generally improved.

Zawadi’s social orientation has also skyrocketed. She now socializes with friends and is full of joy as she enjoys the company of her classmates. As her confidence grew, her teachers discovered that she also had a talent for co-curricular activities. With staff encouragement and support, Zawadi has embraced athletics and other school events with excitement and joy.

Zawadi`s transformation is a powerful reminder of what love, consistency and encouragement can do. Seeing her smile, doing athletics, and actively participating in class are great joys. We remain committed to walking alongside her and her family every step of the way, as she continues to pursue her dreams.
