School Highlights

  • Our students participated in track and field games this term and competed up to the sub-county level. They represented our school well and gained valuable experience through the competition.
  • We successfully practiced an evacuation drill this term. Students and staff responded quickly and safely, gaining practical skills for responding during an emergency.
  • The school workshop is now in use by students during learning. This has helped students carry out practical lessons more effectively.

Church Highlights

  • We held a child dedication service during the term, where 16 children were dedicated to God. Their parents first received training to help them understand the meaning of dedication.
  • We held a Synergy Sunday service, a gathering that brings together the community, staff, and students to worship and strengthen teamwork. More than 200 people attended, and the gathering continued to build meaningful local relationships.
  • In partnership with the MOHI Pangani staff, we conducted a two-day evangelism outreach in Mathare Area 1 and reached 60 people. Twenty-five people accepted Christ.
  • We began training another group of Sunday School teachers, equipping them with skills to serve in our growing Sunday School ministry. The training is ongoing, and the group is set to graduate soon.

Together in Ministry

  • Visiting ministry partners conducted home visits, led VBS activities with Grade 3 students, and spent meaningful time with students through Bible stories, crafts, games, snacks, and a field trip.
  • A visiting ministry partner spent time with students in the Pangani Resource Room and other classrooms. She also joined the resource room students for a field trip and donated food baskets to their families.

A Story of Hope

Betty is a student at Pangani Center who has grown in confidence and faith while pursuing her dream of becoming a doctor. Her family has faced seasons of instability, and her mother has worked hard to care for the children with limited resources.

During home visits in the community, MOHI social workers met Betty and her mother and learned more about the family’s situation. Betty was enrolled in school, where she began receiving consistent care, learning support, meals, and spiritual encouragement. This also gave her mother more time to manage family responsibilities and pursue steady work.

Through ongoing home visits, guidance, and counseling, Betty’s mother was encouraged as she worked toward greater stability for the family. She later found employment and has been able to provide more consistently for their household.

Betty continues to grow in school and in her faith. Daily devotions and Scripture have helped her learn more about God’s Word, and she is moving forward with hope. Her family has also moved into a more stable home near the school.

A different name has been used to honor privacy.
