Greetings from Nyakach!

Greetings from Nyakach Center and community. We are grateful for a meaningful first term and for the ways students are learning and growing. Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we walk alongside children, families, and the community in the hope of Christ.

  • Our students participated in basketball and track and field competitions at the county level. These opportunities helped them develop their skills and grow through healthy competition.
  • Our staff received safety and security awareness training from the Security and Safety Department, helping them respond more effectively to different situations within the school environment.
  • Our school nurse trained all staff in first aid so they can respond appropriately when students need health support or emergency care.

  • We held a well-attended Synergy Sunday service, a gathering that brings the community, staff, and students together for worship and encouragement from God’s Word.
  • This term’s Ignite program was a meaningful time of spiritual mentorship for primary school students. Twenty-one students gave their lives to Christ, and 19 rededicated their lives.
  • Through community evangelism, we reached more than 400 people. Twenty-two gave their lives to Christ, and we continue to pray for their growth in faith.
  • We held discipleship classes for students who attended Angaza Discovery Camp. Eleven students have been confirmed for baptism.

Clare is a young student who has been part of our school community since kindergarten. When she first began attending school, the transition was difficult. She was used to spending her days at home with her mother, and the unfamiliar classroom environment made her anxious.

Her mother faithfully brought her to school each morning, and Clare’s teachers patiently encouraged her throughout the day. Over time, steady support and daily care helped Clare feel more comfortable. She began making friends and looking forward to seeing them at school.

Today, Clare participates joyfully in classroom activities and is growing in confidence. She is developing strong reading and writing skills and enjoys memorizing Bible verses, which she recites with her classmates.

Her teachers have also noticed her growing sense of responsibility. She helps keep her classmates engaged during reading activities and often looks for ways to serve others. Clare is continuing to grow as a student and as a young leader in her classroom.

A different name has been used to honor privacy.

  • Pray for parents in our community as they support their children and families.
  • Pray that our unsponsored students will be sponsored.
  • Pray for peace and harmony among families in Nyakach.

As you read about how God is working, please consider sending a message of encouragement to your sponsored child through the MOHI mobile app or through your online sponsor account. Your words can remind them that someone is praying for them, cheering them on, and grateful to be part of their journey.
