Community Update - Term 1, 2026
Greetings from Nanam!
Warm greetings from Nanam Center. We thank God for His peace in our community and for your continued prayers and support. As the first term comes to a close, we are glad to share a few highlights from our students, staff, and school community.

School Highlights
- Students participated in Awana, a Christian youth ministry that helps children grow in biblical faith through regular teaching and activities.
- Students began preparing for music and ball games competitions ahead of next term. These early preparations are helping them build skill, confidence, and teamwork.
- We were grateful to partner with the Girl Child Organization, which donated 5,000 tree seedlings to the school. Students also learned about environmental care and their role in protecting the community around them.
A Story of Hope
Keith is a young student from Nanam who has walked through significant loss and change. After losing both parents, he and his siblings were cared for by their grandmother, who worked hard with limited resources to provide for the family.
Keith wanted to help at home, but he also longed to go to school. Each day, he watched other children leave for class and listened as they shared what they were learning. His desire for education continued to grow.
During a visit to the community, MOHI staff spoke with his grandmother about the value of education, and Keith was enrolled at Nanam Center. The first days were difficult because reading and writing in English were new to him. Teachers gave him extra support and helped him build confidence one step at a time.
Today, Keith is growing as a learner. He reads and writes with more confidence, participates in class, and is making strong academic progress. He dreams of becoming a doctor and hopes to one day help his community access health care. His story reminds us how much can begin when a child is welcomed into a supportive learning environment.
A different name has been used to honor privacy.
