Greetings from Madoya!

Receive warm greetings from Madoya Center. Another term has come to an end, and we are glad to share a few highlights with you. Thank you for your prayers and partnership as we continue serving students and families in the hope of Christ.

  • Our soccer team participated in the MOHI tournament this term and emerged as winners. The tournament brought together students from different MOHI communities and encouraged teamwork.
  • Students in Grades 3, 6, and 9 were successfully registered for their national tests. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare for these important assessments.
  • Staff from MOHI Capital Limited trained preschool parents on economic empowerment and encouraged them in practical ways to strengthen their families.

  • We held discipleship classes with 10 church members from the community who are now preparing for baptism.
  • We had a Synergy Sunday service with more than 200 people in attendance. The gathering brought the community, staff, and students together for worship and fellowship.
  • Through community outreach and evangelism, we reached 400 people. Thirty-one of them gave their lives to Christ. Glory to God!

  • Two ministry partners visited the school this term. They spent time with Grade 9 students, who were encouraged by the interaction. They also prayed for the Grade 6 and Grade 9 students who will sit for national tests later this year.

Mosses is a young student whose family was carrying many responsibilities with limited resources. His parents worked hard to provide for their children, but inconsistent income made daily life difficult.

During a home visit, MOHI staff met Mosses’ mother. After hearing about the school from neighbors whose children were already attending, she asked if her son could be enrolled. He was able to join the Missions of Hope Madoya Center.

At first, Mosses found it difficult to adjust to school. He was quiet around other children and needed time to become comfortable with classroom activities. Teachers and staff supported him patiently, and over time, he began attending regularly, participating more, and engaging with his classmates.

His mother has also taken steps toward greater stability for the family. She joined MOHI Capital Limited, received financial training, and is now planning to start a small grocery business.

Mosses and his family are continuing to move forward with hope. We are grateful for the ways God is working through education, family support, and encouragement in their story.

A different name has been used to honor privacy.

  • Pray for the sponsorship of unsponsored students so that more children can continue receiving support through the school community.
  • Pray for God’s protection over the Madoya community.
  • Pray for spiritual growth among students and families, and that many will become connected with local churches.

As you read about how God is working, please consider sending a message of encouragement to your sponsored child through the MOHI mobile app or through your online sponsor account. Your words can remind them that someone is praying for them, cheering them on, and grateful to be part of their journey.
