Greetings from Korogocho Nyayo!

Greetings from Korogocho Nyayo Center in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are grateful to share highlights from the first term and to thank you for your prayers and partnership.

Your support continues to encourage students, families, staff, and the wider community as we participate in what God is doing through the school and church.

  • Students in Grades 4, 5, and 6 performed very well in the mid-term examinations and were recognized among the top academic performers across MOHI centers.
  • We welcomed 60 kindergarten students, and they have settled into school well.
  • Our Grade 9 students successfully transitioned to Grade 10, marking an important step in their academic journey.

  • Through outdoor evangelism, the church reached 262 people. Six people gave their lives to Christ and joined a local church, and several new believers were later discipled and baptized.
  • Forty-five church members participated in leadership training designed to strengthen their identity in Christ and equip them to serve others well.
  • A total of 320 people attended a Synergy Sunday service, a joint worship gathering that brings together MOHI staff, community members, students, and families.
  • Ninety-four students who attended Angaza Discovery Camp are now participating in discipleship classes to continue growing in their faith and learning how to make wise choices.

  • A MOHI vision team visited the school, participated in home visits, toured the center, and encouraged students.

Blessing is a primary school student who has faced health challenges that affected her mobility. Even when movement was difficult, she continued to show a strong desire to learn and take part in school life.

Over time, Blessing began interacting more with classmates and joined school activities such as poetry and Sunday school. These spaces helped her build confidence and connect with others.

When staff noticed that she needed additional medical support, they walked alongside her family and helped connect her with care through MOHI’s health services and other medical providers. During her treatment and recovery, teachers continued sending learning materials so she could keep studying from home.

Blessing has since returned to school and is participating more actively in class. She is growing academically and spiritually, and in Sunday school she helps lead others in prayer and Bible reading.

Her story reflects the importance of steady care, family support, medical attention, and prayer as a child continues moving forward with hope.

A different name has been used to honor privacy.

  • Pray for good health among community members.
  • Pray for spiritual growth and salvation in the community.
  • Pray for economic empowerment among the families we serve.

As you read about how God is working, please consider sending a message of encouragement to your sponsored child through the MOHI mobile app or through your online sponsor account. Your words can remind them that someone is praying for them, cheering them on, and grateful to be part of their journey.
