Hannah is a student who has walked through a difficult season of loss and family separation. After her father passed away, her family carried many responsibilities with limited resources. Her mother later had to seek work away from home, and Hannah and her siblings were cared for by a relative.

During that season, regular meals and emotional support were difficult for the family to maintain. When MOHI staff learned about their situation, they spoke with Hannah’s caregiver about the opportunity for the children to attend school. Through MOHI’s Kiwandani Center, Hannah began receiving education, meals, health support, and spiritual encouragement in a caring school environment.

At first, Hannah had difficulty relating to others and adjusting to school life. Teachers and social workers walked alongside her with counseling and encouragement. Over time, she began to relate more positively with classmates and family members. Her academic performance also improved, and she began setting a good example for her younger siblings.

Hannah is continuing to grow in confidence and responsibility. Her caregiver is grateful that the children are learning in a supportive environment, and the family continues to move forward with renewed hope.

A different name has been used to honor privacy.

  • Pray for financial provision for parents in the community.
  • Pray for good health among community members.
  • Pray for continued spiritual growth among students.
  • Pray that church members will continue growing in their faith and that more community members will participate in outreach.
