Hope Transforms: A Success Story
Chloe* is 13 years old, studying at Missions of Hope Center Kibarani in Grade 4. She is the youngest and only daughter in a family of four children. Chloe and her three brothers have been raised by their mother after their father abandoned them, leaving for the city, where he remarried four years ago.
In 2022, Chloe joined our school in Grade 1 after a social worker met her family during a home visit. Before this, she had been attending a local primary school but had to drop out for a year due to lack of school fees. Her mother, burdened by financial struggles, watched helplessly as her children dropped out one by one. When the social worker found Chloe, they immediately took action to enroll her in school.
With the help of well-wishers and MOHI staff, Chloe was able to join school. Encouraged by this assistance, her mother was advised to seek casual jobs to provide for her children’s education and well-being. She took the advice to heart and started working immediately. Since then, she has been committed to ensuring Chloe has everything she needs to do well in school and at home.
One day, during a visit by MOHI partners from Traders Point Christian Church, Chloe got a sponsor. She is now thriving, excelling academically and growing spiritually. Despite the hardships her family has faced, she remains hopeful and determined to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher.
We thank God for the transformation in Chloe’s life and her family, and we continue to pray for greater opportunities for her and her brothers.
