Greetings from Gitathuru!
Greetings from Gitathuru Center. We are grateful to God for His faithfulness throughout this term. As we look back on these months, we are glad to share a few ways students have been learning and growing.
Thank you for your support and partnership as we continue walking alongside the Gitathuru community through the hope of Christ.

Head Teacher, Gitathuru
Ryan is a student who experienced a deep family loss at a young age. During that season, his family faced emotional pain and financial strain as they worked to move forward together.
During a home visit, MOHI staff spoke with Ryan’s father about the opportunity for the children to be part of the school community. Ryan soon enrolled and began showing a strong commitment to his studies.
School was still not easy. Grief affected the way Ryan related to others, and he needed care and guidance as he adjusted. Staff walked alongside him, providing counseling and encouragement and helping him find support during a difficult time.
Ryan also found strength through faith in Christ and became active in the church. As he continued to grow spiritually, his focus in school also strengthened.
Over time, Ryan became known for his dedication to learning. He performed very well in national assessments and continued to pursue his studies with determination. Today, he is preparing for the next step in his education and hopes to study medicine.
Ryan’s story reminds us that growth often happens through many forms of support, including the care of family, support from staff, and a student’s own effort as God works over time. Please continue praying for Ryan and for other students as they move forward with hope.

As you read about how God is working, please consider sending a message of encouragement to your sponsored child through the MOHI mobile app or through your online sponsor account. Your words can remind them that someone is praying for them, cheering them on, and grateful to be part of their journey.
