Hope Transforms: A Success Story

Glen* is a ten-year-old third child in a family of four. He is in Grade 3 and joined Missions of Hope Coram Deo Center in 2020 when he was in kindergarten.

He lives with both of his parents in a two-room mud house in a village near our center. His parents are casual laborers who work on farms.

Glen often missed school, and when he did attend, his homework was incomplete, and he didn't finish his class assignments. His teacher talked to a social worker, who visited his home to understand the situation. These home visits are crucial to understanding a child's background and the reasons for their behavior.

Through the home visits, the social worker learned that both of Glen's parents worked long hours and often forgot to get him ready for school. The social worker advised the parents about the importance of regular school attendance and helped them develop a plan to ensure Glen was ready for school each day. The teacher also provided extra support to help Glen improve his academic performance.

Now, Glen comes to school early and regularly, completes his classwork and homework, and is actively engaged in class. He has significantly improved his academic performance.

We truly thank God for the transformation we have witnessed.
