Together in Ministry

A Story of Hope
Eunice is a devoted mother whose children are part of the MOHI community. She has carried many responsibilities for her family through difficult seasons, and her story reflects perseverance, faith, and the steady growth that can take shape through encouragement, opportunity, and hard work.
For many years, Eunice worked hard to care for her children with limited resources. At times, meeting basic needs was difficult, and consistent education for her children was uncertain. During home visits, MOHI social workers prayed with the family, shared God’s Word, and encouraged Eunice not to lose hope. Through ongoing follow-up, counseling, and spiritual encouragement, she began engaging more deeply with the MOHI community.
Her children were later enrolled in MOHI, where they received education, meals, spiritual guidance, and care from teachers and staff. Over time, the family also became more connected to the church. Eunice grew in her faith and began guiding her children spiritually, while her children became active in church and student ministry activities.
Eunice’s children are also growing in school. One is focused and disciplined in studies and dreams of becoming an engineer. The other is thriving in class and dreams of becoming a doctor. Through education, nutrition, and spiritual encouragement, the children are being supported as they continue learning and growing.
During a home visit, Eunice shared her hope of starting a business. MOHI staff encouraged her to join MOHI Capital Limited, a financial services initiative that offers training and microloans to help families strengthen their livelihoods. She received training in budgeting, saving, and business management, then began building a small business with determination and care.
Over time, Eunice grew her business and eventually expanded it enough to employ another person. Today, she is self-employed and better able to provide for her family’s needs. She hopes to continue growing her business and creating more opportunities for others. We thank God for Eunice’s perseverance and for the ways her family is continuing to move forward with hope.
