Hope Transforms: A Success Story
*Hanna is a single mother of 3 daughters, living in the Bondeni community. Her life took a difficult twist in 2018 when her husband abandoned the family. Left to care for her three children, Hanna was forced to find ways to support them on her own.
Without stable employment or financial backing, she took on inconsistent casual labor in the neighborhood in order to provide basic needs for her family. However, her earnings were barely enough, and she was worried about keeping her children in school.
By early last year, the burden had become overwhelming. Despite having secured a job as a janitor at a local company, Hanna still struggled. The work environment was toxic, marked by hostility from colleagues and frequent conflicts that resulted in multiple suspensions. These challenges deepened her emotional and financial instability.
Hanna turned to prayer, asking God for a stable job, peace of mind, and provision for her family's needs. The weight of unpaid bills, food insecurity, and constant uncertainty made daily life increasingly difficult.
During this challenging time, Missions of Hope International stepped in to support her children. The staff counseled and mentored them, ensuring they remained in school.
At the beginning of this year, Hanna’s prayers were answered. She was transferred to a new workplace where she now enjoys a peaceful environment, job stability, and a steady income. For the first time in years, she is no longer burdened by unpaid bills. Her children are well-fed and no longer lack basic necessities.
With newfound peace of mind, Hanna has begun planning for the future. She has started saving towards a better future. Today, Hanna is full of hope and rather than allowing her circumstances to defeat her, she chose to keep working hard and to trust in God’s purpose for her life. Her transformation and motivation stand as an inspiration to others, proving that even in the darkest of times, hope wins.

Term Highlights
- We are incredibly proud of our music students for showcasing their talents so impressively at the sub-county competitions! They advanced with 17 entries to the regional level, and one of those made it to the national stage!
- Our soccer team advanced all the way from sub-county to regional competitions! What makes this even more inspiring is that our school does not have its own playground. In spite of that challenge, they trained a strong and competitive team of boys. What an amazing achievement!
- We are happy and proud of our parents for their great support and cooperation. They have deeply embraced our spiritual, empowerment, education and health programs. This will lead to more transformation of our students, families, and communities.
Church Highlights
- Two Ignite sessions were held in that quarter, and in both events, a total of 151 students gave their lives to Christ.
- We hosted two synergy services, with both having 90% of the staff in attendance, and an outdoor event that saw two people give their lives to Christ. We invited Bishop Oliver to minister in the service.
- We had several teams visit the center and did home visits; Snyder Memorial Baptist, Traders Point Christian Church, West Side Christian Church and Academy Christian Church.
Partner Connections
- We thank God for Traders Point Christian Church, whom we hosted. They visited, interacted and prayed with families, staff, and their sponsored students. Everyone was excited and encouraged by their support and encouragement.
- We are grateful for Academy Christian Church who visited families, conducted VBS, and interacted with staff and the community. They were a great inspiration to all of us.
- Snyder Memorial Baptist Church visited families, accompanied students for field trips, interacted with staff and prayed for families. The staff and sponsored students enjoyed the field trips as well as the lunch treats they shared.
- West Side Christian Church visited our families, accompanied students for home visits, conducted medical camps, and health check clinics for students, staff and community members.
- We are thankful to Melissa Braun and Barry & Mendi, who visited and trained our teachers on new education strategies and provided support to all students.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for God's protection and provision for the families and students we are serving in the Bondeni community.
- Pray for God's guidance and sufficient grace to all staff as they serve and reach out to more people to transform their lives through the love of Christ.
