Greetings from Area 2!
Receive greetings from the Area 2 community. We are grateful to God for His faithfulness throughout the first term and for the opportunity to walk alongside students and families as they continue learning and growing. Thank you for your ongoing prayers and partnership. We are glad to share a few highlights from this term with you.

School Highlights
- Kindergarten students participated in the MOHI Olympic Games at Baba Dogo Center. This gave them an opportunity to interact with students from other centers, enjoy friendly competition, and share their talents in a fun and encouraging environment.
- The school soccer team competed in the MOHI League at Baba Dogo Center, with weekly matches throughout the term. By the end of the term, the team ranked 4th among MOHI Nairobi schools. We are grateful for the students’ effort, teamwork, and discipline.
- The boys’ and girls’ soccer teams also competed in a one-day regional tournament and advanced to the semifinals. Along with building athletic skill, these activities help nurture character as students receive short devotional messages from the sports and evangelism team before each game.
A Story of Hope
Erick is a secondary school student who has been part of the MOHI community for several years. He is known as a student with potential, and those who have walked with him have seen both the challenges he has faced and the determination he continues to show.
Several years ago, during a home visit, MOHI social workers learned that Erick and another child in his family were out of school because of financial challenges. Through ongoing support, they were enrolled in school and began receiving care, encouragement, and educational opportunities through the MOHI community.
At first, Erick enjoyed school and showed strong effort in class. Over time, however, he went through a difficult season that disrupted his education and daily routine. He became disconnected from home and school and faced harmful influences that made it difficult for him to return to a healthy path.
MOHI social workers, teachers, and caregivers continued reaching out with counseling, encouragement, and support. When Erick expressed a desire to return to school and rebuild his life, staff walked alongside him with patience and care. The first season back was not easy, but with guidance from his social worker and class teacher, Erick began to adjust and move forward.
Because he had missed significant time in school, teachers offered extra academic support to help him continue learning. Over time, Erick’s attitude and choices began to change. He became more disciplined, more consistent in school, and more willing to encourage others from his own experience.
Today, Erick is continuing his education and growing in responsibility at home and at school. His journey is still unfolding, but we thank God for the care, perseverance, and support that have helped him continue moving forward with renewed hope.
