Greetings from Area 2!

Head Teacher, Area 2.
Hope Transforms: A Success Story
*Grace is a Grade 7 student at our Area 2 Center. The thirdborn in her family, Grace lives with her parents and seven siblings in a small one-room home made of tin walls within the Area 2 community. At her tender age, she has faced significant challenges, including a health crisis.
What started as a small blister grew into a painful wound on her toe. The poor living conditions and lack of treatment made the wound even worse. The discomfort made life difficult every day. Even simple movements could accidentally reopen the sore, risking infection. Her teacher learned about the issue and reached out to our medical team about it. Thanks to the swift response of the medical team, the wound was cleaned, treated, and properly bandaged. Today, she’s healing well and regaining her strength.
As a whole, Grace’s family has also been struggling. Her mother had been battling alcoholism despite our social workers’ persistent visits and advice. Then something good happened! A team from Eastside Christian Church visited Grace's home during a home enhancement exercise, and one of the pastors shared a message of hope with her. That very day, she chose to give her life to Christ and change her ways.
Since then, the mother has stopped drinking. She now attends a local church together with her children. We celebrate Grace’s healing, her mother’s renewed faith, and the community that made it possible. Glory to God, this is the power of faith in action!
